Slope Optimization Tips by Bill

So you have made the commitment to making the most of your time at our beautiful mountain here in Lake Louise.

You have booked your flight, hotel and now you have booked the best gear in the world here at Wilsons.

Here are some more inside tips for you.

1) Ski friends. These folks meet at 10:30 every morning at the Lake Louise ski hill. They are awesome. You match yourself up with a friend that ski’s on your kind of terrain (green, blue or black). These folks will show you the best places to ski for your needs and the conditions of the day. Check them out

2) Check the grooming report
and the snow report.

Just put these links into your smart phone if you like. Hit the refresh button in the morning and you have up to date conditions.

The grooming report has a real gem called Meadowlark (aka Z run), when its groomed it is a sweet, steep and beautiful run indeed.

3) Get your stuff the night before. Nothing like waking up and all you have to do is get to the slopes. You can even get your ski pass at the Experience Lake Louise shop beside Laggons coffee shop here in the Samson Mall

4) Don’t drive. If you stay in Lake Louise at any of our fine accommodations you can jump on the ski hill shuttle bus in the morning and it will drop you off at the base lodge. No point in driving, dealing with parking and putting your gear in and out of your car needlessly. If you want to have a few cocktails for apres ski, you are all set.

We look forward to seeing you soon.

All the best.

Your friends at Wilsons.
